KING CAKE PARTY & Yachty Gras Parade

King Cake Party at Seabrook Shipyard pool area(original Sundance Grill) we'll start at 4 pm. Please bring a cajun dish to share, item for the grill, paper goods, utensils, drink of choice and of course chairs. We will have an outdoor heater and firepit to keep you warm! We'll supply the King Cake, and whoever finds the babies will win a prize! At 7pm we'll view the Yachty Gras Parade. Wear your best Beads, and Let the Good Times Roll! Gatorfest Cruise to Double Bayou

Looks like this is gonna be a fun one! Don't miss out on a chance to see the alligators and live music at Anahuac's GatorFest 2010. Check out the web site for more information: http://www.texasgatorfest.com/

We will plan on leaving Marker 2 at 9:00 on Saturday, September 11th. Ernestine and the Channel Marker crew have arranged for us to have transportation to and from the festival on Saturday afternoon / evening.

September General Meeting

Social Hour begins at 6:30pm

Meeting begins at 7:30pm

Meals are available at the Elks Lodge if you wish to eat before the meeting. Drinks are also available at the cash bar.

Our guest speaker for this month will be, Captain Bill Diehl- USCG retired (Discussion will be around Sites in the Houston Ship Channel-this should be good prior to the Allen Landing Trip in October. Folks when travelling in the Channel in October can now relate to what they are seeing after this presentation)

We will have a computer set up and connected to the internet if you should have any questions on navigation of the web site.

Please wear your name tag.

We will be holding the meeting raffle for great prizes. Tickets are 1 for $10.00, or 3 for $25.00. Our Grand Raffle will also be held for the Dingy & Motor to be drawn at the Commodore's Ball in Dec. You do not have to be present to win!

TopWater Grill Sept 18th Saturday

OK Troops Lets get ready for a great event that being the Sept 18th SaturdayTOPWATER GRILL dinner. Some people will drive down, and some will be coming by boats. Dinner is around 6pm. Barb Wallach has kindly stepped up again to be the list person that will be keeping up with the head count. Monica and I will be leading the cruise in our fishing boat Lucky Strike. If you need to contact me my cell # is 713-906-3952. I don't see a need to take off real early in the day for this, but we will see how many boats sign up, and what speed the slowest boat will do. Stay tuned, mark you calendars ; and oh yes I know Karen and others will say bring your NAME TAGS.
